Yes! The BUN is back for this Fall 2012 Season
Everywhere I look, women (especially Mom's with style) are making fashion statements with the messy bun. It lies high on your head and is imperfect, playful and chic.
Personally, the bun has been a life saver for me. With two kids under the age of 5, washing my hair everyday just isn't a reality. I have curly long hair with lots of volume. This is not practical in the West coast heat or when your out on play dates or simply trying to get to work in the morning. So I started to put it up in a bun just to get it out of the way.
But the Fall 2012 Bun is a breath of fresh air as I was starting to feel like maybe the bun was aging me instead of saving me. Like all moms, I'm looking for versatility and the bun has stepped out of the closet with it in spades. Dress it up or down....

Do's & Don'ts:
Do place the bun high on your head
Do even it out with the size of your head
Do use a texturizing product if your hair is clean (stylist.com)
Do use a flexible hairspray if you hair is not freshly shampooed (stylist.com)
Don't fuss over it. It should be fun & playful.
Don't wear a flat, plastered bun
