Hair: Midday Snip, Snip

My hair this morning

Hair... we don't realize how important it is to us until it changes our whole look or falls out by the handfulls. Yes, handfulls. Why doesn't anybody tell you you'll practically have bald spots after you stop breast feeding. I thought it would never grow back. I can commiserate with the balding man now.

I was at a friend's house today expressing my frustration over my hair when she suggested cutting it. Now, I haven't cut my hair in two years. That's how long it took me to grow it half way down my back after my second son's birth, and fall-out session.

So when she offered to cut it for me (in her kitchen while I waited to pick up my son), my heart skipped a beat. Cut it? I know I should. I have split ends and it's starting to look unhealthy, but can I trust her? Will she butcher me? Will I have to wear a scarf on my head for the next three months and start a new trend?

Well, she did own her own salon in Iran (before baby #1), cut hair...the works.
What the hell...I'm writing a style blog for moms, I should be brave and bold! I'll write about it...so I took a picture before and one after (see below). What do you think?

After: 5" off my hair
